WHO ARE THE KABKAD VISUAL ARTISTS?
Kabkad Visual Artists (KVA) is a community-based art organization in Carcar City, Cebu formally established in August 2020 that aims to cultivate a new breed of Carcaranon artists and strengthen the local art culture of Carcar City.
This thriving art group is advised by UP Cebu Fine Arts graduate and Carcaranon painter-sculptor Gabriel Abellana. Formally established in August 2020, the group is adapted from a small local cafe get-together of Carcaranon art enthusiasts. Now with the guidance of an adviser and an established group identity, the Kabkad Visual Artists thrive as a tightly knit community of young and talented Carcaranons aiming to enrich and revitalize the art culture of their heritage city, Carcar.
